Still highly relevant

Ikeda and Watanabe's classic text on stochastic calculus is still one of the best books on the subject available. Despite a flood of newer books, written largely in response to the key role played by stochastic calculus in modern finance, the I&W's presentation of many topics is unsurpassed. For example, I find their exposition of the theory of Brownian motion on a Riemannian manifold and of the heat kernel analysis very lucid. The book offers the right level of abstraction and plenty of interesting calculations, making it also appealing to people with applications of stochastic calculus on their mind. On top of it, the price of the book ($25.44 at the time of writing this review) is unbeatable.

The text highlights indications, contraindications and preoperative drawings of more than 15 different techniques.

He le�do parcialmente este libro sobre cirug�a oncopl�stica mamaria. Resume en los primeros cap�tulos la anatom�a pertinente y las opciones de tratamiento disponibles (quimioterapia, radioterapia, hormonoterapia, etc.) en la actualidad para las lesiones tumorales que pueden ser intervenidas mediante cirug�a oncopl�stica. Los cap�tulos sobre t�cnica oncopl�stica son bastante buenos y recomendables. Sin embargo probablemente el tema no sea suficiente para un libro tan extenso, y los autores han incluido cap�tulos sobre reconstrucci�n mamaria aut�loga con colgajos, que en realidad no forman parte de la tem�tica principal, y probablemente ya se encuentran bien descritos en multitud de tratados.

Recomiendo este libro a cirujanos de mama, especialmente cirujanos pl�sticos.

Superb, easy to read and understand charts, with chinese, pharmaceutical, and latin names for every herb, extensive theoretical and practical discussions. An extraordinarily comprehensive text, invaluable for students and practitioners alike.

This book features true Ph'D level TCM disease discriminations and treatment strateties written with the very best of American editing and organization. If I had to choose just one TCM reference, this would be it.

Glenn S. Holland is professor of religious studies at Allegheny College. He is also the creator of the Teaching Company's popular lecture series "Religion in the Ancient Mediterranean World."

About the Author
Reverend David Cobb has been studying the occult arts since 1986. Brought up as a devout Baptist he attended private Christian schools until he was 13. During that time he studied the ancient Mesopotamia River Valley civilizations, particularly the Sumerian and Babylonian cultures and religious practices. When he was 14 he was enrolled into public schools and studied mixed martial arts and began studying Zen Buddhism, ancient Greek philosophy, and the philosopher Rene Descartes. After graduating high school in 1986, Reverend Dave began studying Wicca and formed a small coven, which he disbanded a year later to pursue studies into ceremonial magick influenced by the Order of the Golden Dawn and the Rosicrucian’s, at this time he also was a member of a Pentecostal youth ministry. Longing for a more earthly and nature based system of magick, Reverend Dave returned to the Wiccan lifestyle and discovered shamanism along the way. In 2010, he found the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca and Witch School International, or should we say, it found him. Currently, Reverend Dave is a licensed Wiccan Minister through Universal Life Church, a Reiki Master and Teacher, a First Degree Mentor for Witch School International, a Shamanic Practitioner, a Priest and the Spiritual Leader of the Circle of the Sacred Drum, a Witan Shrine of the Correllian Nativist Wiccan Tradition. Outside the Wiccan community, Reverend Dave works as a Certified Medical Assistant specializing in orthopaedics, and is a former United States Army National Guard Combat Medic, and Emergency Medical Technician. He currently lives in the Atlanta, Georgia area with his Ayami Lauren, and his spirit helpers; Fox, Bear, Master Roland, and Lady Ariel.

MPH Text Book

This book is a great text requirement for an MPH program. The only drawback I can think of, is that it is so darn heavy! An e-book or kindle version may not be as user friendly as one may think. Overall, good buy.

Amazing Book!

This was an incredibly good text book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every bit of it. It is a compilation of topics as an overview of public health in American. The editors did a great job of choosing relevant topics that gave a student a good picture of Public Health and what makes up Public Heath. I highly recommend this book.

As mentioned by another person this book is really wordy for no real reason. I'm sure the same concepts could have been shared more effectively if plain language was used. Also it would have probably cut down the size of the book in half. I studied healthcare administration for my undergrad and now I am pursuing my MHA. Of all the books I've had to read in my healthcare career, this one by far has been the least interesting.
