Thank you Peter Strupp, for holding up a mirror of truth to our culture. Sure, America is a marvelous country that has achieved wonderful things. But we're forgetting ourselves. No one improves by resting on their laurels. Our game has gotten sloppy, and it's high time we shape up!

This book is AMAZING. Peter Strupp has taken hundreds of statistics about the American way of life and compiled them into this little wonder of a book. At first read, it's very humorous, but when you step back for a moment and consider that all of these statistics are FACTS, it really makes you think about where our culture is heading...
And to 'a reader': if buying a quarter of a million pink flamingos annually doesn't make us dumb, or doesn't highlight the fact that a big percentage of us have bad taste, then waht does?!

Hyatt's pure Zen teaching inspired "unSpirituality-Permission to be Human" and gave me the tools to break through the glittery new age spirituality into actual energetic experience. This book covers a wide scope of psychology and the occult methods breaking it down to palatable pieces for the ready-to-hear ear. Simple to understand and profound in its scope, this book, all in itself, is fully loaded. If you were to pick two of Hyatt's books I recommend this one and Undoing Yourself.

Excellent Book for those of you whom experienced abuse and truly desire to re-claim your True Self and Discover your Destiny!

Hard Zen, Soft Heart concerns the re-programming of the mind/body with the aim of ridding yourself of repetitive self-sabotage. It is written for intelligent, sensitive, and, oftentimes, creative geniuses.

It is written for those of you who KNOW that you are capable of fulfilling your goals, whatever they may be, and yet continue to find yourself trapped or making the wrong choices and decisions.

Some say that doing the same thing while expecting a different result is a definition of "Insanity". But it is also a phenomenon that occurs when humans have suffered extreme duress, abuse, or constant criticism, especially from family members.

The reason you continue to make the same "mistakes" over and over again is NOT INSANITY, nor is it stupidity, ignorant, or psychotic.

Self defeating repetitive decisions or actions are nothing but your mind/body attempting to make itself whole again.

You see, when trauma -- particularly emotional and mental abuse caused by family when you are a child -- not only seats itself in the mind, it also metastasizes into every cell of your body.

Our body/mind's infinitely wise. And because there is no distinct separation between the body/mind, when trauma occurs that succeeds to sever the body/mind (and often soul) connection, our innate healing will do anything to reunite body/mind/soul, so we can feel whole, happy, and have an awesome journey while fulfilling our destiny.
